Gebroeders Van Limburgfestival

In het weekend van 25 en 26 augustus waant u zich in het centrum van Nijmegen terug in de Middeleeuwen. De Middeleeuwen worden op deze dagen op een zo authentiek mogelijke wijze nagebootst. Zo kunt u een optocht van adel, chirurgijnen en zwervers aanschouwen tijdens de Blijde Incomste. In het Valkhofpark vindt u riddergevechten en kampementen. Ook vindt u een middeleeuwse jaarmarkt waarbij de oude ambachten nog beoefend worden.

Een groot gedeelte van het festival is vrij te bezoeken, voor een ander gedeelte dient u een toegangskaart te kopen.

Het festival dankt haar naam aan de kunstenaars gebroeders van Limburg, wiens wieg in Nijmegen stond.
